Jordan Lyric Pope

A Little About Jordan

Jordan Pope, a graduate of Texas Southern University, is keeping her priorities in tact while pursuing her career aspirations.

This 23-year-old, 10-year resident of Houston majored in Broadcast Journalism, is a member of The National Society of Leadership and Success, and managed to maintain her 3.5 GPA during her time at TSU.

Off campus, Pope is learning the ropes of live production, has worked on “Fish, Grits and Politics,” a show focused on empowering the Black community and filmed at Houston’s famous Breakfast Klub restaurant.

Pope loves taking on projects that will challenge and groom her into an industry leader.  She also hopes to inspire her peers to pursue their dreams.  “Never dim your light to allow others to shine, embrace the fact that when you work together, you allow them to shine brighter than imagined,” she said.

Pope is hard working and proud of the endeavors she’s encountered. She believes it’s impossible to lose in any situation - you either win or you learn- it’s all about perspective.
