Jordan Pope, a Broadcast Journalism graduate of Texas Southern University, is keeping her priorities in tact while pursuing her career aspirations.

Off campus, Pope is learning the ropes of live production, by working as an assistant on “Fish, Grits and Politics,” a show focused on empowering the Black community and filmed at Houston’s famous Breakfast Klub restaurant.

Pope loves taking on projects that challenge and groom her into an industry leader.  She hopes to inspire her peers to pursue their dreams as she reminds them to  “Never dim your light to allow others to shine, embrace the fact that when you work together, you allow them to shine bright too."

Pope is hard working and proud of the endeavors she’s encountered. She believes it’s impossible to lose in any situation - you either WIN or you learn - it’s all about perspective.
